| Rocket Launcher |
|
The rocket launcher is an essential tool for any fighting force, giving infantry the ability to counter light enemy vehicles without having to rely on armoured support. Though difficult to use and heavy, especially when several reloads are carried, the rocket launcher allows tactical squads to deliver devastating firepower without having to get dangerously close to the target. Three different types of rocket warheads are available; an armour-penetrating tandem-HEAT warhead, a thermobaric incendiary warhead designed for demolishing buildings, and an anti-personnel fragmentation warhead. Rocket launchers are both versatile and deadly on the battlefield, but their powerful recoil and substantial weight means a soldier of considerable strength is needed to use them effectively. They also suffer from many of the inherent limitations of heavy weapons, such as vastly decreased accuracy when firing the weapon on the move and the considerable investment of time required to fire or reload it. Despite this, however, it is a weapon of such power that few strike teams would be willing to take to the field without one.
