The Medical Kit allows a soldier to treat battlefield injury or trauma, restoring a portion of lost HP to the soldier or a wounded ally. It contains adhesive bandages, disinfectant dressings and an opiate-based painkiller (frequently morphine). Though lightweight, the pack is bulky and only contains enough medical supplies to treat a couple of injuries. Making use of the kit requires significant time, during which neither the medic or the patient can perform any other action - attempting to treat wounds while in the middle of a gunfight is a risky course of action that should be considered only in emergencies! Despite this, the Medical Kit is a hugely useful battlefield resource that should be issued to most, if not all, combat troops.
